We want everyone to be able to check a used car with AutoBear, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader or magnification. If something on the site gets in your way, email support@getautobear.com and tell us what happened.
1. What We Aim For
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, across getautobear.com.
2. What We Have Done
- Text meets the WCAG contrast minimums against its background.
- Every form field has a name that screen readers announce.
- Links, buttons and fields show a visible outline when you reach them with the keyboard.
- The checkout and sample-report windows can be used with the keyboard alone: focus moves into the window, stays there while it is open, and Esc closes it.
- Error messages are announced by screen readers when they appear.
- We check the main pages with an automated accessibility scanner before changes that affect how the site looks, and we walk the buying path with the keyboard alone.
3. Known Limits
- Card payment form. The card number, expiry and security-code fields are provided by our payment processor, Stripe, inside a secure frame. Their accessibility is Stripe’s.
- PDF report. The downloadable PDF is made from the web report and is not yet tagged for screen readers. The web version of the report is the one we test with screen readers, and we can send the content in another format on request.
- Mama Bear chat. Replies are written by AI and appear as they are generated, so a screen reader may not read a reply until you move to it.
4. Tell Us About a Problem
Email support@getautobear.comwith “Accessibility” in the subject. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use if you know it. We will reply, and where we can, we will get you the information you need in a format that works for you.
